Data Centers
Data Centers are mission critical facilities relied on by all of us every day to provide seamless access to information. TAB Technologies has balanced major Data Centers for Bank of America, Blue Cross / Blue Shield, Cisco, Cyrus One, Data Foundry, EBay, Experian, Intel, Microsoft, Oracle and dozens of others. As large data centers can use as much electricity as a small town (and REALLY large ones as much as a large town), highly technical balancing of the Air and Hydronic systems is crucial; the fundamental goal of HVAC testing and balancing is optimized efficiency.
Government
Some of our largest projects have been Local, State and Federal Government work. We’ve completed dozens of projects for the Texas Facilities Commission, multiple projects at Austin, San Antonio and DFW Airports, the 2.2 million square foot Parkland Hospital, the SAMMC (formerly Brooke Army Medical Center, now Joint Base San Antonio). We’ve completed projects for NASA; dozens of projects for Lockheed Martin, numerous projects at Ft. Sam Houston and Fort Hood. We’ve even done some projects for the Government that we can’t talk about.
Higher Education
Here in Texas, it seems by the time kids head to kindergarten they have to declare for either Texas A&M or The University of Texas. We’re a house divided – we’ve done work for both. We’ve also completed dozens of projects at Baylor and SMU (including the George W Bush Presidential Library). We’ve also completed multiple projects at Stephen F Austin, Texas State, The University of North Texas , Sam Houston State and College of the Mainland.
Hospitality
We’ve balanced a lot of large 1000 plus room hotels. Indoor water park hotels like like Great Wolf Lodge in Dallas, and Kalihari in Round Rock. Four Star hotels like the Fairmont Austin Hotel, the JW Marriott Austin, Marriott Austin Downtown, the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill country, the Omni Ft. Worth, the Hilton Convention Center in Austin, the W Austin hotel (home of Austin City Limits), and the Marriott Marquis in Houston (official hotel of Super Bowl 51 in 2017). We have also completed the Ryman Gaylord Hotel expansion in Dallas, as well as the renovation of the Joule in Dallas.
K-12 Education
We are extremely proud of our K-12 performance. Many public school systems hire Testing and Balancing as a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) in the same way they hire Architects and Engineers. We currently have or recently had PSAs with the following ISDs: Alief, Alvin, Arlington, Austin, Barber’s Hill, Birdville, Brazosport, Cleveland, Conroe, Coppell, Cy-Fair, Dickinson, Fort Bend, Fort Worth, Friendswood, Humble, Huntsville, Irving, Katy, Klein, Montgomery, Pearland, Prosper, Round Rock, Splendora, Spring Waller and Willis. We’ve also completed many projects for Lakeway ISD, Leander ISD, and Waco ISD.
Medical
Only one TAB firm in Texas has completed more Hospital work than us and that firm has been around 40 years longer than us. In Austin we do a tremendous amount of work for both Seton and St. David’s, including Dell Children’s Medical Center, the SIA work for Dell Seton Medical Center, and virtually all major expansions in the past ten years for both groups. Outside of Austin we’ve completed dozens of projects for Baylor Scott & White, including BS&W Lakeway, BS&W Round Rock, and the Center for Advanced Medicine (CAM) in Temple. Parkland in Dallas was the largest hospital in the country when it was built and SAMMC – Now Joint Base San Antonio was an extremely large new hospital and renovation of the existing Brooke Army Medical Center. Additionally we’ve completed multiple Forest Park Medical Centers, and continue to complete projects for Hermann Memorial, Lake Grandbury, Texas Scottish Rite, UTMBand numerous others. We know what it takes to pass a TDH inspection; understand cascading pressurization and how to get there; know which rooms should be positively and which should be negatively pressurized and the air change requirements for those rooms.
